The most common temperature rating of this wire is 90 degrees Celsius. 6 awg thhn wire conductor is appropriate for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90 degrees Celsius or not exceed 75 degrees Celsius in oil or coolants. 6 ga thhn wire is appropriate for use in dry locations at 90 degrees Celsius or not to exceed 60 degrees Celsius in wet locations or where exposed to oils or coolants. AWA conductor is appropriate for use at temperatures not exceeding 105 degrees Celsius when installed in dry locations.
